I keep wondering what's next. I enjoy my life, but I keep feeling like I need to be a part of something more. Something larger than myself. Something where my actions show real affect on people, events.
Reflecting on this urge keeps bringing me back to politics. I can see myself in a politcal office, and I can easily see myself winning positions at local and possibly state levels given time, experience. But I don't think I would be satasified with anything other than the presidency once I start.
What are the chances of a gay man winning the nomination of a party, let alone a general election for President of the United States?
I'd like to think it's possible, but I fear that the majority of the country would oppose it, which makes me more angry.
I'm giving more, strong thought into Public Policy for my masters or Ph.D.

I would vote for you. You are more intelligent than many in office, have knowledge about important issues, and I am sure you would do good things. Maybe you should do some research on what it takes to get started in a political career?
