Happy Halloween everyone. I've managed to not be productive today, and since I need to be productive that could be a bad thing.
Mikel has to work tonight, but I'm still putting on my costume (I'm a Butt Pirate) and going to Stonewall. Anyone want to join me?

Why can't I just be Phebe and work for the Bay City Mirror? Oh that's right, it doesn't exist. Maybe I will start it.

Well, I've found a few jobs to apply for. I hope to get off my ass and do that today. So far all I've done is sleep in, watch tv and then go work out.
Mikel is in San Francisco. I'm missing him a lot. Oh well, at least I'm getting about two phone calls a day from him.
Perhaps I'll write more later.

Fall Break has started. I just got back from OKC. I took Mikel and his father to the air port. Their plan should have taken off four minutes ago. Hopefully all will be ok with them. I don't know what time they will arrive in Reno. I assume somewhere around 1 p.m. CST.
I had planned on stopping by the new Apple Store in Penn Square Mall in OKC. But I would have had to wait around until 9 a.m. when the mall opened. I decided to just do it next Saturday when I go and pick them up.
Another note, since Friday I've spent $10 on lottery tickets and only won $2. I redeemed that $2 today and got 2 more Lucky 7 scratch off's with it and then lost it all. Curses! How will I ever get rich at this rate :P
Later today I will start moving into my new room here in Stout, but for now I'm just going to hang out and watch some TV I think.

This is the Port of San Francisco, but is eerily like the Matrix.

Ok, I think I'm going to use
flickr for my photo album. I'm trying it out before I pay for the professional account. Some of my photos are online now. Check it out
here and let me know what you think. Personally, I like the slideshow view they offer.
I also updated the link in the lower-left side of the page as well to go to flickr.

My second Public Affairs Reporting story is now finished and turned in. The school week is almost over for me. YAY! I have a class at 6:30 tonight and I also work (since Ali worked for me last night).
Mikel's father should be here tomorrow sometime. They leave for San Francisco on Saturday. :(
Oh, and I don't have cancer (unofficially). The official report will be in about two weeks.

I really hate Tuesdays, blah to it. Luckily, this is my last Tuesday that I have to get up early for. I'll only have to work the 12-2 shift after today, which is fine by me.
We got the Special Womens Issue wrapped up last night, yay thats done. I always say that I like tabloid format better, but hving to design for it, I can now see reasons to stick with broadsheet.
I brought The West Wing with me to the desk. I hope it keeps me awake.
I can't believe that it's only been 42 minutes!

Ok, I know it was a boring article. But when copy editors start making major changes, you know like ADDING TO THE STORY, without asking me it pisses me off.
I think i'm going to take in a cluebat tomorrow night and wack someone over the head.
They did it in my last review, and I talked to them nicely. The editor they blamed for it wasn't there, so I told them to inform her of her error and not to do it again.
Well, it happened again. Time to roll heads.
