Umm ya, bastards

Where do they get the "logic" for these statements?

The Human Rights Campaign has launched an aggressive campaign to fight back against the extremists who are intent on making gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans second-class citizens.

Darrow for America?

Monday, May 15, 2006 by Daren Darrow

I keep wondering what's next. I enjoy my life, but I keep feeling like I need to be a part of something more. Something larger than myself. Something where my actions show real affect on people, events.

Reflecting on this urge keeps bringing me back to politics. I can see myself in a politcal office, and I can easily see myself winning positions at local and possibly state levels given time, experience. But I don't think I would be satasified with anything other than the presidency once I start.

What are the chances of a gay man winning the nomination of a party, let alone a general election for President of the United States?

I'd like to think it's possible, but I fear that the majority of the country would oppose it, which makes me more angry.

I'm giving more, strong thought into Public Policy for my masters or Ph.D.

Why does white cake frosting have red and blue food coloring in it? I can only assume it is because its natural color is some shade of yellow.

Damn Oklahoma

The House passed House Resolution 1112, which urges Oklahomans to sing the national anthem in English and encourages immigrants to learn it.

FROM WIRE REPORTS

I love the quote from the resolution hearing.

Quote of the day:

"It's just an extension of a particular philosophical charge to delete diversity in our great state."

Rep. Ray McCarter, D-Marlow, during debate on House Resolution 1112, which urges Oklahomans to sing the national anthem in English and encourages immigrants to learn it.
